Warped Labs has a line item in the budget for those “rare” instances when our scientific endeavors cause certain collateral damage to nearby properties or solar systems. The name of this category is “oops” much to the ever growing dismay of Amanda.
I have had to dip into the “oops” fund a time or two or hundreds of times when working on projects. Whenever we do have positive cashflow (a very rare occurence indeed) twenty-five percent is already earmarked for the “oops” fund.
This fund was used in helping to repair Julie’s spacecraft The Ladyhawke.
Right now the “oops” fund is not very healthy. I need more eureka moments and less oops moments.
